Sustainable payments – an enabler for efficient payments 

The payment system in the Nordics is outdated, and the Nordic banking cooperation P27 was supposed to create a new payment system to replace Bankgirot. However, P27 and the cooperation have been discontinued. Swedish banks continue to operate Bankgirot, but it is unclear how to comply with current regulations.

Sustainable payments are a payment service for and by Civil Society organizations. It aims to ensure access to attractive payment services built on the values of Civil Society. 

The payment service is: 

  • easy and cost-effective to implement. 
  • easy for members and donors to manage 
  • easy to receive payments via Swish 
  • unique because Softronic can offer enhanced customer knowledge and sanction control as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the Swedish Enforcement Authority. This option reduces the organization’s risk exposure.
